A better tan
starts before
the studio.
- 01Exfoliate and shave before your appointment—ideally the day before.
- 02Wax at least 24–48 hours before your tan.
- 03Arrive with clean, dry skin and no lotion, oil, deodorant, or fragrance.
- 04Bring loose, dark clothing and easy shoes for afterward.

- 01Follow the personalized rinse time provided at your appointment.
- 02Keep skin free from makeup and water until your first rinse.
- 03For the first rinse, use water only—no soap—and gently pat dry.
- 04Moisturize daily, stay hydrated, and limit chlorine and salt water.
- 05Avoid exfoliation and shave carefully to help your color fade evenly.

What happens during my appointment?
Your 45-minute booking includes a consultation, customized color selection, application, and time to dry down before you dress.
Will my tan look orange?
Your color is tailored to your skin tone, undertones, and preferred depth. The goal is a soft, even, natural-looking result—not one shade for everyone.
When should I rinse?
Plan for an 8–12 hour first-rinse window unless Sorella gives you a different personalized time at your appointment. Use water only for that first rinse, then gently pat dry.
What if my skin is irritated or sunburned?
Please contact Sorella before your appointment if you have a rash, irritation, open wounds, severe sunburn, allergies, respiratory sensitivity, or another skin concern.
Does a spray tan protect me from the sun?
No. A spray tan does not contain sunscreen or protect against sunburn. Continue using a broad-spectrum sunscreen as directed.
What do guests under 18 need?
A parent or legal guardian must complete the online minor-consent form before the appointment. The guardian does not need to be physically present.
